This video is a recording of a presentation that I gave for AYA TEFL Poland on the 10th of April 2024 in the presentation I focus on some of the key AI technologies that are proving very popular on my website and on my YouTube channel and our technology is that I have also used myself I try to focus on a variety of different tools so some of the tools cover things like reading and listening other tools Focus more on speaking other tools can help with things like pronunciation these tools all offer a free option so those some of the tools do you require you to pay you can test out the tools and use them in a limited way in a free option the first technology that I focus on in this presentation is tweed.com tweet.com is proof very very popular amongst language learners or particularly language teachers it allows you to produce basically four lesson plans and to generate all types of different activities like reading content gap for activities multiple choice activities activities draw Force activities etc the second technology I looked at is a very interesting technology technology called Gliglish gleaglish.com allows you to actually practice your speaking skills so you could talk to Gliglish in multiple languages and it will reply to you the third technology I looked at is one of my favorites it's called turbo Scribe and it allows you to basically take any text from a YouTube video put it in and it will basically produce the transcription of the video even if that video doesn't have the subtitles so it produce the transcription from the audio it will also extract the audio for you in case you want to use it in the class with your students I really like this because it allows me to work with YouTube videos that I like and to focus on the text and to look up words that I've done understand very quickly this is really helped me a lot with my vocabulary with my reading and also with my listing skills the next technology that I focus on is something called natural readers.com this technology allows you to take any text from anywhere on the internet or anywhere that you can copy text from paste it in and listen to the text being read out by a native like voice the voices are really impressive and it works multiple languages The last technology I focus on is something called kwizie AI and it allows you to take a video from YouTube and to add it in to kwizie and then it will produce for you a kind of quiz game that you can then play with your students it generates a link you share the link with the students and they can then login and answer the questions I like the formatting of this technology and I like the ease with which it works you literally just take any link from any YouTube video and it will generate a quiz around that particular technology I think these are five of the most impressive AI technologies that so far I've come across in the field of language teaching
