Jamboard is a Google product. It is free as long as you have a Gmail account. The reason I like Jam boards is because it's an interactive whiteboard that you can share and get other students engaged by working on the technology. Jamboard has a number of interesting features including stickers, text, and of course a draw too. You can also add pictures into a Jamboard.

Where jamboard is really useful is when you are working online and you want students to brainstorm or engage in activities together. Your students can create jamboard so it's a great way, for example, of getting them to work in groups and share ideas and then they can share their jamboard with the rest of the class. But of course it's also possible for the teacher to create a Google Jamboard where the students and the teacher can collaborate together.

Jamboards can also be saved as PDF files or saved as images, so they are really easy to share and work with. . Jamboard is actually a free tool so as long as you've got a Google account, you can simply create a jamboard and share the link andallow other students to edit. Your the jamboard is available to everyone. It's even possible with Google Jamboard to have more than one student collaborating at the same time. Be careful with this feature if you have too many students writing onto the Jamboard at the same time it can easily get out of control but if you got two or three students working on a jamboard it can work really well. Jamboards can also have multiple pages.

In this video you'll see me working with jamboard and showing you a variety of different activities. For example we can have a picture and get students to label it. We can have list of words and get students to group those words into different sections. iI really is a technology that has lots of flexibility and can be used in lots of different situations. Of course it could be used in the classroom as well but it tends to be a technology that works really well when teaching online and getting our students to collaborate and work together.

Jamboard is a free technology we can also get our students to create jamboards. They can create a chambord and then share it with the rest of their students in a group and begin to collaborate on particular ideas for groupwork. The flexibility for jamboards makes it one of the best and simplest technologies that Google has on offer.

When I work with Jamboard, I like working with the moveable text and the stickies to create really nice activities that can get the students engaged. It is possible for students to create their own games and activities to share with other students and this can be really creative and get students much more engaged in activities. I highlight several games in the video showing you ways to use the tool.

In summary Jamboard is a great technology if we want to create activities for our students to do. For example if you want to get them to drag or drop words onto a picture or label a picture. You can get students to group words. Jamboard is also great for collaboration. If we want to get students to brainstorm words, ideas, opinions etc. Free, easy to use and very flexible.
