Trident Wave Separator and MD Press Demo - Septic Waste

In June 2016 we performed a Trident equipment demonstration at A1 Restaurant Service, which included two small scale demo units (410 Wave Separator and 101 MD Press). The client has already a DAF and filter press in place and was looking for options to deal with peaks in the required processing volume as well as more cost efficient ways to operate the equipment. The Wave Separator includes a flocculation tank for polymer application, followed by a table with several rows of rotating disks to perform the first stage liquid-solid separation. The remaining sludge is then processed in the MD Press where a screw cylinder with multi disk technology performs the second stage dewatering. The solids content of the post MD sludge is ~ 25%. The sludge passes the "paint filter" test and can be disposed of at a landfill. The effluent water can be discharged into the sewage system.

During this particular demo the polymer was reformulated to allow a better flocculation and liquid-solid separation in the Wave Separator.

A benefit for the customer is the exceptionally low operating costs. As an example: the larger models require typically less than 10HP for Wave and MD combined. The capacity of larger equipment makes it suitable to process up to 660 lb-DS/hr and 575 gpm clean water.

If you're looking to replace your centrifuge, filter press or belt press with more cost efficient equipment that requires minimal maintenance - now is the time.
