Dairy farm recycles water from manure and improves sand recovery

This dairy farm processes approx. 150 gpm manure with the Wave Separator. The objective was to thicken the manure sludge for more efficient land application with their manure injection hoses, and to reuse the clean water to improve the sand recovery. Cleaner water leads to improved sand settling and also removes organic particles from the sand more effectively. The farm is now able to reuse very high quality bedding sand for their cows which is a key element in managing herd health. Another benefit for the farm is that the solid-liquid separation with the Wave system has reduced the solids in their lagoons by approx. 40%.
