DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) Clarifier used to remove organic solids

The Trident DAF Dissolved Air Flotation Unit is a very effective sludge thickening technology, which removes organic solids from liquid wastes. A dissolved solution of water and air (pressure infused micro air bubbles) is introduced to the liquid waste stream in the DAF tank and effectively floats flocculated solid particles to the surface. The floating particles form a layer of concentrated sludge on the surface which is skimmed off with the DAF rake assembly and then sent to downstream dewatering equipment. The clarified effluent is discharged to longterm storage.

Trident uses a DAF in manure treatment applications to concentrate the nutrients, in particular Phosphorus, that are contained in dairy cow manure. This is a critical step in nutrient recovery applications. With highest capture rates and very low operating costs, the effectiveness and reliability of DAF systems in manure applications is unmatched.
