The problem reads:
A DAF thickener used to thicken WAS has been operated 24 hours/day and 7
days/week. All the WAS is pumped to the thickener. In order to save on energyand
labor you plan to switch to one 8-hour shift per day and 7 days/week. Use the data
below to calculate the solids loading rate (lbs/ft²/hour) to DAF unit.
