Timberking 1400 Motor Upgrade
Fork Creek Mill – Motor replacement and upgrade on a Timberking 1400 mill
The Kohler Command Pro CH730 23.5 HP motor was replaced with a Kohler Command Pro CH752 27 HP motor on a Timberking 1400 band saw mill using a Kubota 5660SUHD tractor with loader. The belt stress required on your saw may be different from my saw so be sure to check with the manufacture before setting. Originally was going to install a 32 HP motor but none were available at the time so I settled for the 27 HP.
This is not a how to video and is for entertainment only as it just shows what I am doing with my mill. Remember you are responsible for your own safety. All rotating equipment should have proper guards at all times. Band saws, power tools and tractors are inherently dangerous and can be extremely dangerous if not operated properly. YOU, the operator, are responsible for the safe operation of the band saw, power tools and tractor. You must carefully read and follow any warnings, safety signs and instructions provided with or located on the band saw power tools or tractor. Do not remove, defeat, deface, or render inoperable any of the safety devices or warnings on the band saw, power tools or tractor. All guidelines for proper setup and use provided by the saw blade manufacturer, power tool manufacturer and band saw manufacturer should be followed. Caution should be taken when using power equipment or tools and all recommended safety precautions from the tool or equipment manufacture should be utilized. It is important to inspect all tools and equipment before each use for condition and that all safety equipment is functioning. Thanks
