Tommy James tells the story of taking an old hit song and playing it backwards to create a whole other hit song. Tommy James and the Shondells ruled the late 60s with massive hits like Hanky Panky, I Think We're Alone Now, Crimson and Clover and Mony Mony but when he he and his group put they smash hit I Think We're Alone Now on the reel to reel, they accidentally put it on upside down so when it played it played backwards...It was such a cool vibe they made a whole new hit called Mirage.
