3% Mortgage Rates coming back to Housing Market in 2024?

Robert F Kennedy Jr wants to bring back 3% Mortgage Rates for homebuyers in the US Housing Market.

He says that if elected president he would have the government guarantee 3% mortgages for first-time homebuyers.

However - I think this is a horrible idea. As 3% mortgage rates are what created the current housing bubble. Rather - America should focus on changing the tax code to make it easier for homeowners to sell.

First - by eliminating the mortgage interest deduction for homeowners. And second - by eliminating the depreciation expense for real estate investors.

That would induce a lot of selling onto the market and increase inventory, pushing down prices and making housing more affordable.
