France: Refuse collectors trash Paris street to demand better working conditions

Refuse collectors rallied in front of Paris cleaning department on Tuesday to denounce poor working conditions.

People could be seen throwing papers from the top of the building - eventually covering a big stretch of France Avenue - and setting a rubbish bin on fire.

The workers are on strike demanding officials to cancel the implementation of a law transforming their status, which should come into force in January 2021.

Yellow vests demonstrators were reportedly among the protest.
