Include Unfiled Amounts in Xero BAS

I will talk you through a recent addition to Xero that now allows you to include any unfiled amounts when lodging your BAS using Simpler BAS.

Unfiled amounts arise when a transaction is entered into a previous period in Xero for which an activity statement has already been finalised.

For example if you finalise the March quarter BAS and then subsequently process a bill into the March period it will result in an unfiled amount.
The unfiled amount can then be picked up in the following quarter, the June quarter, as an unfiled amount.
