01-27-2021 Salinas, CA - Significant Debris/Mudflow Damage

Aerial and ground (with natsound) of the significant debris flow/mudflow event today south of Salinas, CA. This is all along River Road a few miles south of Salinas and was shot late this afternoon. By late today the flows were quite common. Many of the flows caused damage with damaged homes, vehicles swept away and buried in mud, etc. Residents and emergency workers battled the mud all afternoon. Levees of hay were used to force the mud and water to go where they wanted. All of these mudflows originated from the River Fire Burn Scars.
