Hiking to the top of Pu'u Wa'a Wa'a in the North Kona area.

Pu'u Wa'a Wa'a Cinder Cone Trail is a 6.46-mile loop trail.

This hike is very peaceful. You pass by numerous cattle and the most common thing you'll hear are birds. Beware, mother cows will chase you if they feel you're a threat to their little ones.

Other critters you'll see are goats and sheep.

The hike is strenuous with an 1814' climb in just 3.23 miles. It starts off with a gradual ascent but once you reach the old cone the climb becomes much more difficult.

Take your time or if you're in great shape it makes a really nice run.

Bring hiking poles just in case it rains to prevent slipping on the downhill section. The grass and mud are slick.

Other than the midday sun the biggest hazards are crap. Lots of it is mainly from the cattle.

The volcano stopped months ago and it could be years before it gets going again. I have tons of other videos I've been wanting to make so, now I can get busy on them.
