Defending Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen has been in imperious form and many believe that he will become champion again this year without any hassle. One driver who believes it wouldn’t be as easy for Max if he was in the same car is Alpine’s Esteban Ocon

Ocon Believes He Could Fight Max Verstappen For Championship

Ocon, while speaking to DAZN, started off by stating his ambitions

“I don’t care which driver, but I want to fight for the championship”

“I have always believed in myself”

“We still have a long way to go, but my goal is to become world champion, nothing else”

He then highlighted the condition under which he would be able to do so

“I can see myself fighting with Verstappen for the world championship if we had the same car”

He signed off by addressing comments that he is one of the most aggressive drivers on the current F1 grid

“I really don’t want people to think I’m an aggressive guy, because I’m a nice guy outside”

“But the way I drive is tough. That’s probably true, but I’m happy with it”
