Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton had a positive outing in Spain where he finished on the podium. However, Red Bull still hold a considerable advantage over the rest of field including Mercedes. Hamilton has now spoken about his future as quoted by Sky F1

Lewis started off by speaking positively about the team

“I'm working as hard as I can with this team and I see so much strength within the team. They are still so hungry”

He then gave his reaction to the podium in Spain

"The podium [in Spain] was really, really special”

He further spoke about his future

“I'm really happy where I am in my life. I think I've got all the ducks in a row where I am able to really focus”

“I feel fit and healthy, and I think that was a solid race for me and I think I want to keep going for as long as I can”

He signed off by highlighting his goal for the future

“I want to be where [Max] is, or racing him at least”

“Super focused on getting to that point, but there's a long way to go”

AlphaTauri’s Yuki Tsunoda is “super disappointed and frustrated!”

“I think the penalty I was given for forcing another driver off the track was very harsh but it’s something I have to accept”

Alpine’s Esteban Ocon feels that “it was a strong Saturday and a decent Sunday for [them]”

“We can be proud of the last couple of weeks but we know there is work to do to keep heading in the right direction”

Teammate Pierre Gasly added that “the car is performing well”

“That’s three points scoring finishes in a row – and we must keep striving for more”

Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas pointed out that they “had a decent race in Montreal last year, scoring a very good result for the team”

“Hopefully, we’ll be able to replicate that, and keep this streak running”

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc explained that “it's not like [he’s] got understeer in the car and [he] can say, 'OK, this is a very understeery car'”

“I've got understeer on one tyre, and then you get again on the same hard. And you've also got a very oversteery balance”

“As a driver, you just do exactly the same thing. So it's just inconsistencies”

Mercedes driver George Russell explained that they’re “not going to get carried away just after this one race”

“We know it might be slightly different in the future races”

“I think generally Aston and Ferrari were a little bit more off the pace than normal”
