Toto Wolff Makes Admission While Comparing Mercedes With Aston Martin
Aston Martin have stunned quite a few people with their 2023 car. There are already signs that they could even be faster than Mercedes in some instances. Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has made a few admissions as quoted by Racer

Toto Wolff Admission While Comparing Mercedes With Aston Martin
Wolff started off by admitting that their current package may not be competitive
“I don’t think this package is going to be competitive eventually. We gave it our best go over the winter and now we need to regroup”
“I’m sure that we can win races this season, but it’s the mid and long term that we need to look at”
He then gave his thoughts on Aston Martin’s progress
“They gained two seconds in half a year and their car is half ours, from the engine, gearbox and rear suspension and using the same wind tunnel”
He signed off by acknowledging that Aston Martin have done a great job
“There are a lot of parallels and we need to acknowledge that they have done an outstanding job”

AlphaTauri’s Nyck de Vries feels that “the midfield is tight and competitive”
Williams driver Alex Albon believes that they “really do come alive when the track becomes cold”
