Andretti Lashes Out At Greedy F1 Team Owners

Michael Andretti started off by suggesting that the F1 teams are ruled by greed

“It’s all about money. First, they think they are going to get diluted one-tenth of their prize money”

“But they also get very greedy thinking we will take all the American sponsors as well”

He elaborated by implying that the F1 team owners are not looking at the bigger picture

“It’s all about greed and looking at themselves and not looking at what is best for the overall growth of the series”

He then analysed the contrasting positions held by F1 and the FIA

“That is the difference between President Mohammad’s position and the team owner’s position”

"In Formula One, the owners look out for themselves; not what is best for the series”

He summed up his words by praising FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem

“President Mohammad is looking out for the future of the sport. Mohammad gets it”

“He’s a racer and he understand the series needs to have one or two more teams”
