Another day in Nepal's adventure playground, Pokhara and its surrounding area. This time it's with a company called Paddle Nepal who predominantly organise white water rafting and kayaking (as well as canyoning).

It cost around $60 USD for a half day trip. You meet at the Paddle Nepal offices in Lakeside, Pokhara and it's then a 30 minute drive to 'Upper Seti' - Seti being the river. They provide you with wetsuits and helmets so all you need to bring are shoes and any cameras.

It was a good morning out, though not necessarily mind blowing, though there's only so much that you can do when none of us were exactly qualified to go white water rafting on any serious rapids! What was apparent was that the water level was very low, probably because it was Winter and there was no real snow melt coming off the mountain. In fact, at one point during the route, we could see where the water level was in the Summer and it was dramatically higher.

Due to the water level, we spent quite a lot of time getting stuck on rocks and honestly, we only really paddled in very short spells (like 3 paddles at a time). Regardless, it was a decent morning out and would certainly be a good first time white water rafting. It's certainly better value for $60 USD than the zipline, purely because it lasts a lot longer. However, if you're budget conscious I would still put that money towards the £120 USD fee for a hot air balloon ride.
