111923 CLEVELAND FATAL CRASH TRUCK CUT IN HALF

On Sunday, November 19, 2023, at approximately 7:47am the Cleveland Police and Fire Departments responded to a major crash in the 700 Blk of US Hwy 59/ IH 69 involving a 2022 Freightliner semi-truck hauling a box trailer and a 2012 Ford F-350 Utility truck. Investigators found that the semi-truck was stopped on the right shoulder out of the traffic lanes and was struck from behind by the Ford truck. Both occupants of the Ford were ejected from their vehicle and the driver of that vehicle was later pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Ralph Fuller. The passenger and the driver for the semi-truck were transported to an area hospital by Allegiance EMS and, at this time, listed in stable condition.
Major Accident Investigators from the Cleveland Police Department are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
