For our first lesson. We will be making the famous Filipino Egg pie that everyone is talking about.

Authentic Filipino Egg Pie. Tips and Secrets. Step by step tutorial
Ingredients:
Crust:
1 1/2c all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
1/2c cold, cubed butter
1 egg yolk
1-2 tbsp very cold water
1 tsp vanilla

Custard:
4 eggs
1c sugar
410ml evaporated milk
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 eggwhite (left over from the yolk in the crust)

Bake for 180C for 15min then lower the temp to 160C and continue baking for 60-65min. 9inch baking plate
Cool at room temperature. Chill before cutting.
As this is a custard pie. It will last 3-4 days refrigerated.
