FREE SCOOTER becomes custom LOWRIDER: Project SLAMAHA (Part 1)

Sometimes a deal comes around that is too good to pass up. This time the deal was a FREE 1983 Yamaha Riva 180 (XC180). Of course this bike was in pretty rough condition but I think it has the potential to become a custom lowrider scooter with air suspension!

My plan is to purchase an air suspension kit intended to replace the rear shocks on a larger motorcycle and fit the air shocks to the single shock front and rear suspension of the Riva. This conversion is pretty straightforward due to the single sided front and rear suspension.

Of course a free scooter is going to have its fair share of issues so i'll be troubleshooting them along the way with a factory service manual.
