From fine dining to burger empire| History of Shake Shack

Shake Shack is one of the fastest-growing food chains in the world today, and it happens to be admired by celebrities and common folk. From Tina Fey to Aziz Ansari to Ansel Elgort no one can say no to their burgers. But what if we told you that Shake Shack was never meant to be a fast-food chain?

That’s right, Shake Shack was initially conceptualized by Danny Meyer as a temporary hot dog stand in Madison Square Park. What Danny didn’t expect is the roaring success of the stand.

Another thing that Danny didn’t expect is how Shake Shack would go on to become the largest part of his portfolio. Since this portfolio included many of New York’s high-end restaurants, this news was BIG.

The presence of their favorite fast-food chain in the park encouraged people to visit in never seen before numbers (I bet we could all relate to that).

Watch the video above to follow how a hot dog stand turned into one of the most popular fast-food chains in the world!
