US employer Revised Form I-9 | Malescu Law

Today we are going to speak about Form I-9 compliance for those incredible US companies that are hiring. Starting on November 1st, 2023, all U.S. employers must use a revised Form I-9 with an addition date of August 1st, 2023, in order to conduct employment eligibility verification for their employees.
As a reminder, all U.S. employers must use Form I-9 to verify identity and work authorization, to work in the U.S. for all individuals hired in the U.S. Both employees and employers must complete and sign Form I-9.
Form I-9 must be completed and signed within three business days of the date of hire, and the date of hire is the first day of work for pay for the employee.
