Eruption ~ I Can't Stand The Rain 1978 Disco Purrfection Version

Ann Peebles wrote and recorded "I Can't Stand The Rain" a #38 Hot100 hit in 1973. Frank Farian worked with the band on a cover and turned it into their biggest international hit, peaking at #18 on the Hot100 in the summer of 1978.

They got their start in the UK music scene and were known as Silent Eruption but shortened it in 1974 when Precious Wilson joined the group. "I Can't Stand The Rain" was released in December of 1977 it hit #1 in Australia and Belgium, going Top5 in the UK. Then the Neil Sedaka penned "One Way Ticket" began gaining momentum peaking at #9 in the UK.

In 1979, Precious made her move too soon and went solo, flying off into obscurity. The band never recovered and the band gave up the ghost in 1985. Precious purchased the ownership of the name Eruption in 1997 and sometimes tours with and without the band.
