Buttermilk Ranch Chicken Salad | Easy Recipe

After the whole household was sick with head colds for the entire month of January and into February, we've been hit again with another round. Hopefully this one won't have the lingering cough. We're taking it easy with this delightful and easy chicken salad, just what the doctor ordered, if the doctor were me, which she is. We used fresh cooked chicken breast here, but canned works just as well. I've made it that way many times. Buttermilk adds a wonderful tang to this simple salad, so don't skimp on that ingredient. As with many salads, a brief stay in the fridge will deepen and improve the flavor immensely, but it's delicious as soon as it's made. Here's to feeling better quickly!

Easy Buttermilk Ranch Chicken Salad
2 cooked chicken breasts, shredded, about 13 ozs, 370g, or a 13 ounce, 370g, can of chicken breast, shredded
1 cup, 226g, real mayonnaise
3 tablespoons, 30g, buttermilk ranch dressing mix
¼ cup, 60ml, buttermilk

Shred chicken in a large bowl and set aside. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayo, dressing mix and buttermilk whisking until smooth. Add to the shredded chicken and stir to combine. Serve immediately, or refrigerate for an hour for improved flavor.
