3 Old Ways to Enjoy SPAM! Vintage SPAM Recipes from the 1940s, 50s and 60s!

Everything old is SPAM again! Trying out 3 vintage SPAM recipes! One with my nemesis lima beans! I hate LIMA BEANS Sharing :)

Spam Cakes (1957)
MAKE BISQUICK PANCAKE BATTER (directions on box).
BROWN SPAM SLICES ON GRIDDLE... 2 to 3 inches apart.
TURN SPAM SLICES... pour batter over each slice. Turn again.
...And there you are, with big hungry-size pancakes...
a savory SPAM slice baked right in the middle!

Spam Picaddily Sandwich (1969)
Pkg. of cream cheese
Sweet pickle relish
Pumpernickel bread

Spread softened cream cheese
generously on buttered slices of
pumpernickel bread. Place slices
of SPAM over cream cheese, then top
with spoonfuls of sweet pickle relish.
For easier eating, cut sandwich
into three parts.

SPAN 'N' LIMAS (1946)
Make a Spanish sauce of canned tomatoes, chopped
onions, green peppers and celery leaves with a
little salt, sugar, lard. Add to fresh or frozen
precooked limas in casserole, partly bury 8 or 10
slices of Spam in top, garnish with pimento
squares and bake 25 minutes at 350.
