I love U2. And I love The Edge. “Pride” blew my mind when I heard it for the first time. How is that even a guitar? What is this absolutely heavenly sound? In fact, out of all the guitar players I’ve idolized and tried to take a piece of, I’m pretty sure The Edge left the biggest impression on me. I was a kid, just getting heavy into music, and I didn’t know a guitar could do that. I begged my folks to buy me a delay pedal for Christmas…and that was that.
