Part 3, 700 mile road trip in Winter during Snowstorm with 200K mile 2013 Tesla Model S85 RWD

Winter is here. Let's road trip! We are going to the Cozy Cabin in Island Park ID. We have done this trip with our Tesla Model 3 several times in winter and we have done it with our 2020 Chevy Bolt in summer. But we never have done it with our latest addition, the 2013 Tesla Model S 85. A rear wheel drive car. This Model S has about 50 miles lower EPA range than the Model 3 we have. Under winter conditions like we have on this trip we may be cutting it close. The entire route is under Winter Storm advisory going there and under Winter Storm Warning (no travel advised) on the way back. I got interesting on the way there but the drive home was crazy. The consumption was very high during these conditions, which means the range was very low. From Ennis MT to Island Park ID we only drove 55mph due to high headwinds eating away our range.
We choose a different route to go home that has more Supercharger options but it is longer. We drove north on Hwy 191 to Bozeman MT, and then took I90 back to Missoula and then Home.
It was an interesting trip, not just because we drove an electric car. This trip would have been a challenge for any car or truck. We've seen several of those in the ditch.
