Barbados Sheep giving birth to twins, Newborn Baby Lambs at our Ranch in rural Montana.

Barbados sheep are pretty sneaky, like many other animals, and usually give birth when nobody is around. We got lucky. This Ewe gave birth to twins while we are at home during the day. Most of our lambs were born at night and we found them as a surprise in the morning. Barbados sheep are pretty hardy and don't need much care or help at all. We leave them alone as much as possible. We just make sure they have water, food and some shelter. This ewe was the last one that looks pregnant (we let nature take care of the breeding and we don't have them pregnancy checked)and we'll start to rotate them on our land so they can graze. These sheep are our weed control and wildfire prevention as they love to eat the weeds and get the grasses down nice and short without ripping the roots out of the ground.
