Who is restricted from owning a gun in California?
In this video, we discuss the 6 categories of people restricted or prohibited from owning, using or possessing firearms under California law:
*felons (that is, anyone convicted of any felony offense in any jurisdiction)
*persons who are addicted to narcotics
*persons with two (2) or more convictions under Penal Code 417, California's law against brandishing a weapon
*persons convicted of certain misdemeanor offenses
*persons who suffer from mental illness
*minors (that is, anyone under 18)
