Carpenters - We've Only Just Begun (Original)

Hey! I'm finally back with another music video. I made this one on Christmas Eve, 2020. So, it's been nearly a year, so it's high time I uploaded it. My video features the lovely signature song for the Carpenters called: "We've Only Just Begun." The song was written by Paul Williams and Roger Nichols. It was adapted from a commercial for a California bank. When Richard Carpenter first heard the jingle, he fell for the tune and contacted Paul Williams. The rest is history. This song was the Carpenters' first big hit and became their first gold record as well. The song was included on their 1970 album "Close To You." Last, but not least, "We've Only Just Begun" went to number 2 on Billboard's Hot 100, and went to number one on the Easy Listening chart.

The content of the video consists of various photos of LP's and singles. The title cards and credits are my graphic design. The audio comes from my personal copy of the LP: "Close To You." I hope you enjoy watching the video as much as I enjoyed making it. It feels good to post something again. Take a listen to a beautiful romantic ballad from the early 1970's.
