Mid-range 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 capable Samsung Galaxy A24 4G phone to tell you about (May 2023 release)

This is not so much a full review, but more a video to share with you a model of smartphone I have upgraded to so that you are aware of it and how it sits in the grand scheme of things. It's not easy to sift through models looking for something good enough but not expensive. So here you go. The Samsung Galaxy A24 4G. 𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙄𝙈𝙀𝙄 𝙣𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧, 𝙒𝙄𝙁𝙄 𝙈𝘼𝘾 𝙖𝙙𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 *#0*# 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙨𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙙. 𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙! 😎

This is a mid range phone, so it's not a bargain basement laggy smartphone and it's not a top of the range flagship phone. It's just right in my opinion! Comes with Android 13 along with One UI 5.1 and is a brand spanking new release for May 2023.

It has all the features I REALLY want in a phone. Fast enough, long battery life, fingerprint sensor, decent camera(s), 3.5mm headphone jack, long firmware support life. Plus it has some "would be nice" Samsung features like Secure Folder, which is the only one that comes to mind. I like Secure Folder for different reasons than most people. Most people use it for keeping confidential/business separate and isolated from the rest of their phone. I use it instead as a security sandbox, so that I can install apps in there I am unsure about and know they cannot access all my real files and contacts etc.

All in all, as an IT guy who needs decent things, I like this phone.

141 hour battery endurance rating according to GSM Arena!
To put this battery endurance rating into context, at the time of my video, there are 1,017 phones that have an endurance rating and this Galaxy A24 4G is in place 21. Not bad for £180. I am 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗹𝘆 happy with this!

In the box I only got a USB-C to USB-C cable, so you won't get a mains charger. You will need to use your existing charger or buy one.

One last thing, it has 25 watt fast charging, which is nice if you have a charger capable of this. I have a mains Anker brand multi-USB charging unit that I use and it charges my phone adequately fast: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00VTI8K9K Now mine seems to not be available, but it is 40 watt total and I know there will be other Anker alternative models and other brands too. So that is an idea for you.
