7 Inch Ka-Bar USMC Fighting / Survival Knife With Kraton Handle & Kydex Sheath! Model 1213

This is the Ka-Bar USMC knife. It has a 7 inch blade made from 1095 carbon steel. Absolutely amazing knife. USMC stands for United States Marine Core or US Marine Core.

I have had this for approximately 15 years and it is my all-time favourite knife. It just ticks all the boxes for me and if the world ever came crashing to an end and the clock reset, this is the knife I would want above all others to help me survive.

I have chopped tree limbs with it, cut food with it, it's been used for all manners of mundane household tasks, borrowed by my parents to help cut foam precisely to make cushions, opened packages, etc etc etc. Just AMAZING knife.

But it's not cheap. You get what you pay for. This knife today costs about £115 delivered from Heinnie.com Apparently the British military does not routinely issue knives, but they do issue a bayonet which is not very good quality and is so brittle that it can snap if you are not very careful. This knife, on the other hand, is made with extremely high quality in America and is very very hardy and will last a lifetime.

The blade steel is amazing, the sheath is amazing, the handle is amazing, the weight of it is amazing. Seriously, if you want a REALLY good military knife, either for a military member of the family, collector, or anyone else who appreciated really nice tools, then spend the money on this. I am telling you, you or the person you give it to will love it for their entire life.
