The Quiller Memorandum – Berlin Location Tour

HISTORIC BERLIN - “In the dead of the night a man walks down a deserted Berlin street. He enters a phone booth, but as he dials a number, he is shot dead.”

Unarguably one of the best spy movies of the 1960s, the Quiller memorandum is lauded for its stunning visuals of post war Berlin; the intense feeling of a city gripped by the cold war and stunning shots of a metropolis rising from the ashes after five-years of war.

The spy-thriller sees American agent Quiller sent to investigate a neo-Nazi organisation. Just like “Funeral in Berlin”, the film positively drips with atmosphere.

The era of “cold war Berlin” has long since lapsed into cliché, but even now watching the movie is like taking a stroll through the night streets of Berlin in the 60s, and the epicenter of the films action remains almost unchanged. READ MORE HERE : http://www.historicberlin.com/?p=604
