Grenoside | Steel City Downhill MTB | Vlog

It has been a while since I hit the infamous Steel City at Grenoside Woods... It's been a while since I have done any mountain biking at all if I'm honest!

I do love downhill mountain biking.. but with my Crashed/ Saved ratio on the trails.. I fell out of love with it during my prep and have struggled to get back into it. Crashing your bike into a tree (busting up your arms) or coming off and your head and shoulder bouncing off the floor, isn't exactly conducive with training progression!

Nevertheless.. me and tom threw the idea in the lads group chat, to get out before winter struck. We threw our bikes in the car and travelled over to Grenoside (just outside Sheffield). It takes about an hour and half to get there for us.. another reason it's not the best sport for us! (the Hull, is incredibly flat).

Once we got to Grenoside, we already knew they had done work on the trails, so we did:
Pub run - Which was shockingly under maintained, but a warm up to get us going anyway.
Steel City - This had so much more flow than before, with all the berms and jumps being made bigger, new features and smoother surface overall.
DH3 - This also ran a lot faster, with more features and work being done.. however, just not quite as un as steel city.
