Peace in Nagorno Karabakh? | The Lafayette Club with Dr Hratch Tchilingirian
An excerpt from a November 6, 2020 interview hosted by the Lafayette Club on the topic of conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh with Dr Hratch Tchilingirian, Associate Faculty Member at the University of Oxford Faculty of Oriental Studies.
In this clip, Dr Tchilingirian provides insights on how the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh might continue, unless different sides and international players work towards. He poses the following question: “Is the enormous cost in human lives worth paying for a conflict that everyone, especially the international community, knows ultimately has to be resolved by a peaceful agreement?”
The Lafayette Club, the largest speech society at the University of St Andrews, aims to connect young people with leaders from around the world who have some idea what the hell is going on (and may even have some thoughts on what to do about it).
