Advanced Marathon Training with Nike Running Coach Blue Benadaum | How To Run a Faster Marathon

In a special episode, Nike Coach Blue Benadaum and Coach Omar Gonzalez give an in-depth talk on their Advanced Marathon Training Method and how to apply it to your training as a beginner runner or an advanced runner.

The 3 key phases of marathon training include: Fundamental Phase, Special Phase and Specific Phase. Coach Blue has completed over 60 marathons and has a current best of 2:23. He is the Nike Los Angeles Running coach He also founded the Malibu Marathon and one of the founders of The Speed Project.

Coach Omar is a 4:06 miler who is currently training towards a 2020 Olympic Trial Qualification in the marathon. Omar was also a member of the record breaking team for The Speed Project.

Every 2nd Saturday The Lab hosts a Long Run, Breakfast and talk at Blue Ribbon Sports in Santa Monica, California.
