He Thought He Could Outrun the Cops...RIP to This New Lexus! I've fished cars off mountainsides, the ocean and houses but never a construction site like this. Driver stole this new Lexus while running from cops, then after a high speed pursuit in Los Angeles lost control and landed here. Believe it or not, the driver then opened the door and tried to run away before being caught.

That's when we got the call to recover the call, so Dave took our biggest rotator, Big Flipper, since that one has a 42' boom. I followed in a flatbed to transport the car after it was out. Although funny looking, the job was pretty easy. I used BA car recovery straps on the rear rims to pull it out of the ditch first, then when it was lined up under the boom I rigged to all tires. From there it's a simple lift, swing and set onto the flatbed where we impounded it.

This was the same night as my "port fail" video two weeks ago, so my Sony unfortunately died and I had to resume shooting with my iPhone. Still though, I think the video came out very nice, agreed??
