Labor ‘failing Australians’ with net zero push
Shadow Environment Minister Jonathan Duniam warns Labor is failing Australians with their continued push for net zero.
The remarks follow a new report by the Grattan Institute which has warned the federal government’s push for net zero is ‘ad hoc’ and ‘uncoordinated.’
“We can’t deny the fact that we’ve gone so far down this road that we do need to ensure that we have reliable energy on demand,” Mr Duniam told Sky News Australia host Chris Kenny.
“We will have to be looking at ways we can actually work with producers to ensure we can generate what we need here.
“The way Labor are going about it - nothing is going to happen that is in anyway good for our country.
“They are failing Australians, and they are failing our targets.”
