China’s retail sales figures come in weaker than expected
China’s retail sales figures for April have come in weaker than expected rising 2.3 per cent at an annual rate.
The market was expecting 3.8 per cent during the month.
This was the fourth straight month of lower sales numbers, which shows a general weakening in Chinese consumer demand.
