No agreement yet after 6-hour Brussels meeting; joint statement says it's 'getting closer'
No agreement has yet been reached after a six-hour meeting in Brussels today.
In a joint statement, however, all parties have said "it's getting closer".
The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, met with European Commission Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič, UK Foreign Secretary Lord David Cameron, and Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares.
They say there have been important breakthroughs and additional areas of agreement.
The parties reaffirmed their commitment to an agreement, and say they will remain in close and constant contact.
