Aquarium at Rosia Bay - plans to be submitted to DPC

Plans have been proposed for an aquarium at Rosia Bay’s Victualling Yard.

The privately funded venture would be located on the first floor of the historic building, and would showcase the diverse maritime eco-system we have in Gibraltar.

The aquarium would be built by international specialists and adhere to strict standards.

Educational and research facilities are also included in the design, as are a restaurant, laboratories and classrooms.

The rescue dogs currently living at the site will not need to be relocated.

Katy Docker reports.
