Humans want to be free. That's why the past year has been really taxing for most people, being stuck in their houses for months on end. However, let's forget about the pandemic for now and look at some of the people who got stuck in weird and scary places. Every day people put themselves into difficult situations. It doesn't matter if they are at work, school or the supermarket, accidents happen all the time. From a cement hopper to a traffic cone, here are the 10 scariest places people got stuck.
Number 10. A Cement Hopper
This one was rather a sticky situation. When an Alameda County Fire Department Rescue Team received a call about an industrial accident, they had no idea what they would be facing. A worker from U.S. Pipe and Foundry fell into the silo after losing his balance while cleaning inside
but found he was unable to move when residual cement on the machine's floor began hardening around his legs. Alameda County Fire secured the worker with a harness to prevent him from sinking deeper into the cement. They also gave him oxygen during the ordeal. Crews drained product from the bottom of the hopper to alleviate the dry cement from around the man in what was called a confined space rescue. It took firefighters more than two hours to extricate him from the hopper. According to the local fire department, he was rushed in an ambulance to a nearby hospital and treated for minor injuries, but released the same day.

Number 9. a toilet
It doesn't always pay to be the hero sometimes, but Cato Larsen didn't know. If he knew, I bet he would have taken a different approach. In 2016 the Norwegian Cato Berntsen Larsen tried to rescue his friend's cell phone from a public toilet when he got stuck after lowering himself completely. You may be wondering how that was possible. He was able to do this because the toilet tank was located beneath the sink. Sadly, the tank wasn't connected to any sewage system but was emptied periodically. For this reason, Cato was trapped with so much human waste. He was finally able to get out after the police rescued him. Firefighters had to destroy the toilet to get him out. According to him, there were animals inside, and an unknown one bit him. Cato said it was damn disgusting, and it was the worst thing he had ever experienced in his life. Number 8. A Giant Stone Vagina
We've all heard about the awkward A&E arrivals who, each to their own, require rescuing from some fairly distressing situations. You know the sort - "I just fell onto this Ken doll, and now it appears to be stuck up my bum" - but this story potentially tops them all. One U.S. student, who has somehow managed to remain anonymous, must have been feeling fruity because he managed to wedge himself inside the Chacán-Pi sculpture of a vagina at the Tübingen University's Institute for Microbiology and Virology in Germany. Yes, you read that right...he got stuck in a "vagina statue". The statue, which was created by the Peruvian artist Fernando de la Jara, has been in existence for years but never before has it found itself in such a compromising situation.

number 7. stuck in an elevator
On October 15th, 1999, Nicholas White got stuck in an elevator for 41 hours. He was working at the McGraw-Hill building in New York City when he decided to go for a quick smoke. On his way back, he took the elevator since he worked on the 43rd floor, but the elevator stopped working. He pressed the alarm in the elevator, yet nothing happened. Nicholas White waited in faith, hoping they would notice the elevator stopped working and probably fix it. But his hope was dashed in the mud. No one was coming to fix the elevator anytime soon. Nicholas began to panic. He tried to open the elevator doors but soon realized it was concrete. So, he was stuck in the elevator for 41 hours. He had with him his wallet, three matches, and his cigarette. For some reason, no one could notice that Nicholas was stuck until after a couple of shifts from different security guards. An unbelievable fact is that there was surveillance footage of Nicholas white in the elevator and no one noticed until after 41 hours. Nicholas was eventually rescued.
