Ankle Sprain Rehab: Return to Sport Drills

Our patient Dylan has had a significant Grade 2 lateral ankle sprain and progressed well right back to returning to football.

Here are some of the single leg hopping drills we have got him doing during the first 4 weeks of the returning to sport phase. Essential for maximising stability and neuromuscular strength in the ankle, as well as injury prevention.

1️⃣ Medial and Lateral Box Hops
2️⃣ Box Hop and Rotate 90deg
3️⃣ Timed 40cm Medial/Lateral Hops
4️⃣ Triple Crossover Hop for Distance
