Perhaps the most famous of all the Sor studies,

this lovely etude has an elegant simplicity that accounts for its charm.

The melody should always sing out above the accompaniment, and again I suggest singing or playing the melody by itself to fully grasp its character.

The piece is formed in eight-measure sections—let the piece breathe naturally by feeling these phrases.
