Renaissance Period (1500-1625) The Renaissance (literally rebirth) was a time of great revival and renewed interest in the arts.

In fact, it was a period of rich development in many areas of life. Brilliant achievements were made in literature, architecture, science, and the arts.

As a transition from the Middle Ages to modern times, the Renaissance ushered in an abundance of marvelous and fascinating music as well.
