Indeed our hearts are heavy announcing the death of a man who touched the hearts of many and contributed immensely to the advancement of the kingdom of heaven. We celebrate the life of Dr Charles Stanley known to audiences around the world through his wide-reaching TV and radio broadcasts, “In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley,”founder of In Touch Ministries, and served as senior pastor of First Baptist in Atlanta for nearly 50 years. Who went to be with The Lord, early hours of Tuesday 18th April 2023
Dr Charles Frazier Stanley aged 90, was born September 25, 1932, in the small town of Dry Fork, Virginia. He lost his father at just nine months of age and was raised by his mother who brought him up in the way of The Lord and laid the foundation of trusting and obeying God for him. After receiving a call to ministry at the age of 14, Stanley earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia, and a Bachelor of Divinity at Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He later went on to earn the distinctions of Master and Doctor of Theology from Luther Rice Seminary in Atlanta.
