SAD NEWS!!! BISHOP DESMUND TUTU HAS PASSED AT 90😭😭
Desmund Tutu, a Black South African bishop, has passed away. Although he was a bishop and an Archbishop at some point, that didn’t stop him from his constant work as a human right activist and as an anti-apartheid activist.

The bishop was born in South Africa on the 7th of October, 1931. The bishop had a rocky path whilst growing up, but he kept his head down and worked his way up. He even got into medical school but became a teacher as his parents could not afford the fees. He resigned in the 1950s as a result of the state of Black schools and the Bantu Education Act was passed in 1953.

He got married to Nomalizo Leah Tutu in 1955, and were still married till death did them part as the bishop passed away on the 26th of October, 2021. He survived by his wife, 4 children and 3 grandchildren, and died at the age of 90.

He was ordained as a priest in 1960. In 1976, he became the bishop of Lesotho, as well as the assistant bishop of Johannesburg and rector of a parish in Soweto. By 1985, he became the bishop of Johannesburg and by 1986, he became the first black Archbishop presiding over Cape Town.

The bishop was a Nobel Peace prize laureate, who was awarded the Nobel prize in 1984.
