Lecture 29: Scotland and the Irish Revolution by Stephen Coyle

The historian Stephen Coyle will highlight the important role played by the Scottish Brigade of the IRA, IRB circles, Cumann na mBan branches and Na Fianna Éireann troops, in acquiring and smuggling weapons and explosives to Ireland, during the revolutionary period. He will also examine the impact made by Sinn Féin in persuading the Scottish public of the case for Ireland’s right to self-determination.
