Aston Martin DB7 Arizona Hot Climate Testing

Aston Martin began testing environmental effects on their cars in the early 2000s. The first car to undergo environmental testing was the DB7, which tested the vehicle's performance in a variety of conditions, including extreme temperatures, humidity, unpaved roads and altitudes. According to Campbell Scientific, Aston Martin used a CR7 Measurement and Control System for environmental testing by mounting the system in the car's trunk.

The CR7 Measurement and Control System is a small portable, battery-powered system that can record data from a variety of sensors, including temperature, humidity, air pressure, and engine RPM. The CR7 is easy to use and can be set up by engineers with basic technical skills. This makes it a cost-effective solution for environmental testing. The data collected by the CR7 was used to improve the car's performance and reliability in a variety of environments. Specific tests for the effects of temperature, humidity, altitude, road noise and wind tunnel testing were some of the tests conducted. All of the data collected by the CR7 Measurement and Control System helped Aston Martin to ensure that the car's components and electrical systems would not fail or malfunction in extreme weather conditions, and that the performance and reliability of the DB7 would remain stable in almost any environment. Aston Martin's environmental and other testing of the DB7 helped ensure that the car was of the highest quality, safe and reliable for its owners, and a more appealing car to a wider range of customers.
